That day when you’re supposed to buy someone a gift and/or card and tell them you love them… **Not Gluten Free**
Yep, it’s that time of year again. Not Christmas, not Easter, not Halloween, not St. Patrick’s Day, and not my birthday either. Valentines Day. Yeah. So here’s some foodie ideas for your lover, loved one, or your “special friend”.
For Halloween this year I made brownie. A Halloween themed brownie. Check it out.
Chocolate Cupcakes with Dark Chocolate Mousse, topped with a Chocolate Dipped Strawberry. **Not Gluten Free**
Wow, that was a mouth full. And so were these! In a good way…
I’m making a vegan brownie. No, I’m not vegan, but I have a friend who is. But, I forgot to take pictures. So you might just have to make do with a shot of the finished product. Or, I might just have to make it again. The brownie batter was pretty darn good. I expect the finished product will be too. It felt so wrong not putting half a dozen eggs in…. But I must have faith.
Is that cooking ingredients in a coffee mug? Why yes it is.
I can hear you all gasping in shock right now. Psst, she uses the cheap stuff! But I swear to you, it tastes just as good. And you won’t be disappointed with this recipe. After all, who could be disappointed with chocolate, biscuits, butter and sugar? Certainly not me.
Okay, maybe not Willy Wonka, but surely close enough. Pannys Chocolate Factory is located in Phillip Island, just over 2 hours drive from Melbourne. And today, I got to go!
I’m the kind of girl that likes to stay up until 2am just so she can watch the Director’s Commentary on her DVD’s. It’s kind of like you are being let in on a secret… The world behind the world they’ve created. And when you’re up by yourself in the middle of the night, you can just about convince yourself that you’re the only person who has ever been let in on the secret. It doesn’t matter that it’s there on the DVD for anyone who borrows or buys it to watch. I’m sure the director is telling these things just to me.
Just like being awake at 2am, when the rest of the world is sleeping. It’s magical, a world behind a world. It’s so quiet and peaceful and calming. I’ve guess always been a bit of a night owl, but I’ve never really realised until recently, just how much I like it that way.
And, on a cold winter’s night, there’s nothing I like better than pairing two things I like, with one of my favourite drinks. Hot Chocolate.
Luckily for a night owl like me, the only thing I need to be worried about at that time of night, is the fact that the chocolate is going straight to my hips. But not to worry, I’ll work it off tomorrow… right?
